Retrogressive Actions-6

Negative Laden Mindset!

There are some actions people take that are simply motivated by a negative mindset. It is either to achieve an evil aim or to drive an evil agenda.

As usual, let me buttress with two stories.

Ade wanted to join the Nigerian Army as a recruit. He applied for over five times and he was never taken. Though his intentions were not known to the Army, I believe his intentions were what created those rejections.

What were his intentions? He wanted to be a bully, to roam the streets with a horsewhip, intimidating everyone who crosses his path. His would have been a service to self and not to the nation.

Tope on the other hand was a fashion designer apprentice at a reputable fashion school in the commercial capital of Nigeria, Lagos State. She was hardworking and was a promising apprentice with a bright future.

A year after she started fashion school, her boss became her competitor. Each time she is involved in a discussion with her colleagues about the future, she was fond of telling them of how she would make it in the future and would now buy the fashion school from her boss.

When they try to caution her that it was not a good prayer for her boss, as she was indirectly wishing her boss to fail, she would not show any remorse. Instead, she will reaffirm it that by the time she puts in the hard work, she will be far better than her boss and would buy the school from her.

Tope is a local tomatoes seller today with kids. She was impregnated by a bricklayer who claimed to be a civil engineering contractor in Lagos. She could not graduate from the fashion school, and her former boss still runs the fashion school to date.

When your motivation is anchored on a negative mindset, you will attract negative forces to yourself.

No matter what anyone might have done to you, hate, jealousy or envy is the very wrong motivating factors.

Free your mind from hate as you strive for success.
