Partnerships That Propels You To Fulfilling Divine Purpose: The D-J Example

“Be careful to whom you partner with because it can make or mar your divine purpose”.

In my last article, (Allegiance That Derails Destiny: The A-J Example), I gave a vivid example using the lives of King Jehoshaphat and King Ahab. And I explained how the former lost a good measure of God’s favour and blessings because of his allegiance with Ahab. In the same vein, there are also partners who are heaven-sent to help you fulfil your dreams and aspirations. Let’s consider a case study from the historical record as documented in the Holy Bible.

“And it came to pass, when he had made an end of speaking unto Saul, that the soul of Jonathan was knit with the soul of David, and Jonathan loved him as his own soul.

Then Jonathan and David made a covenant, because he loved him as his own soul”.

The best thing that happened to David aside from the divine promise that he would be King, was the loyalty and support he got from Jonathan. Jonathan was so loyal to David at the detriment of his own ambition. No one is an island and as such we all need partners in our pursuit in life. This is why we must find the ‘Jonathanians’ kind of partners who will be solidly behind us as we pursue our goals.

But on the flip side, the Holy Book says”it is more blessed to give than to receive”. So instead of searching for partners who will sacrifice their all to help you succeed, learn to be such a partner yourself. When called upon to assist in driving a dream or vision of a friend or brother, do it with your might and with utmost sincerity.

To succeed in life, we all need a trusted and loyal partner. The big question is, will you be that kind of friend?πŸ€·πŸΎβ€β™‚οΈπŸ€·πŸΎβ€β™‚οΈ
