Early Life:

IDEDE Oseyande Osebhayobe Akahome was born on Friday, the 7th June, 1985, in the ancient city of Benin, the capital of the then Bendel State, and current day Edo state, to the family of Mr and Mrs Ernest and Cecilia IDEDE.He is the fourth of five children.

He started his early education in a play group which was referred to in Benin parlance as ‘Garri school’, where he had slates and chalks as writing materials.

In September, 1990, he was enrolled into Fabiyi Akpata Primary School, Iyaro, Benin City as a primary one pupil. From September 1992-1993, he attended Lina Group of Schools, Benin City, where he completed his third year in primary school.

Oseyande attended Good Foundation Group of schools, Benin, from September 1993 – August 1995, where he completed his primary school leaving certificate with merit.

He then proceeded to the famous Immaculate Conception College – September 1995- August 1997. In September 1997, having re- enrolled at Army of Christ group of Schools, Benin where he repeated the Junior Secondary School class 2 then, finished his Junior Secondary School in 1999.

His senior secondary school journey began in September 1999 at Good Foundation Group of School. He rounded off in Umelu Secondary School, Umelu, in 2002, and passed his West Africa Senior School Certificate Examination at one sitting.

He proceeded to the Federal University of Technology, Akure, where he studied Mining Engineering from October 2006- September 2011, graduating with a second class degree.

Career Path:

He worked as a Mining Engineer with a foreign based firm from August 2013- August 2018 as the explosive personnel, until he left in August, 2018.

He started his full time writing career in October 2018 as media consultants for politicians. His first two clients were both House of Assembly candidates in Edo and Osun states respectively.

In 2019, he delved into fictional works, publishing his first novel, #Warri No Dey Carry Last, and like his previous poetry works, got commendations and recommendations from his readers, both in the academia and in the secular space.

He co-founded MC YAG JI Agro-Allied Ltd, an agricultural production and processing firm in 2019 where he serves as the Chief Operations Officer (COO).

What is Left of What is Right? Published in 2016 by Naira books & Press

The Portrait of a Revolutionary Leader, published in 2019 by Naira Books & Press

Warri No Dey Carry Last, published in 2019 by Naira books & Press.

He has written numerous articles that span the fields of social activism, politics, morals, and religion. He is a social crusader who has spent his recent time advocating for attitudinal and behavioural change in members of the society. He has also used his literal works to echo his thoughts on the moral decadence plaguing society.

All his published works are geared towards achieving that purpose, hence, his works do not just aim for intellectual stimulation or relaxation most literary works give, but an attempt to trigger in the minds of his readers the consciousness of the pitfalls ravaging our society. This he is solely sold to and will continue to do as God gives him breath. Currently he has over ten manuscripts waiting for publication.

Marital Status:

He is happily married to Mrs. Abisola Ebunoluwa nee Agbolade, and they have a daughter. Uyioghosa Abigail Eniola IDEDE
